Clean panels make more of the sun

Solar cells need light. Dust, bird droppings and grime sit on the glass and block some of it, so the panels make less power than they could. Rain helps a little, but it leaves the droppings and the stuck-on film behind. A proper clean lets the panels make what they were built to make.

Will cleaning my panels really make more power?
If they're dirty, yes. Dust and droppings block light from the cells. How much you get back depends on how dirty they were, so we won't promise a number. Your inverter app will show you the difference.
Why don't you pressure wash solar panels?
High pressure can push water past the seals, and many panel makers say not to use it. A soft brush and pure water clean the glass without putting the panels or your warranty at risk.
How often should they be cleaned?
It depends on dust, birds and trees. Near building work or busy roads they get dirty faster. We'll tell you what makes sense once we've seen them.
Is the cleaning mix safe for my plants, pets and pool?
We cover or rinse plants as we go. Keep pets inside until the area is rinsed and dry. If there's a pool close by, tell us on the call and we'll plan around it.
Do I need to be home? Do you need my water or power?
Usually you don't need to be home. We use your outside tap and a power point, so tell us when you book if you don't have one. We'll also ask about gates, dogs and where to park.
How long will it stay clean?
It depends on shade, trees and weather. Damp, shady spots go green first. Sunny spots stay clean longer. We'll tell you what to expect once we've seen it.
